Back in my childhood days when I lived in Mochdre, the Dolau was run by an old couple Ned and Connie Lewis, it was the only pub that you couldn't get drunk in lol.

You would order your pint and Ned would hobble down to the cellar with his white enamel jug, draw off the beer from a wooden barrel then climb the steps back to the bar, pour your pint and take your money, then take it up stairs and get your change (wouldn't keep money downstairs), by the time he got back to the bar, it was closing time.

Lovely old couple those were the good old days.
